Trips Introduction:

This tour takes us through the three highest mountain ranges of the world: Himalayas, Karakoram and the Hinduksh. We will visit ancient forts, alpine lakes, drive through mountain scape that is unlike any other and visit ancient cultures that for centuries developed in isolation. We only plan this tour three times a year, each with a slightly different itinerary focusing on festivals in Kalash and Chitral Valleys.

Day 1

Arrival at Islamabad international airport, drive to Rawalpindi and visit most famous real colonial residence Raja bazaar, afternoon drive to Islamabad and start exploring Islamabad, visit Faisal Mosque, the famous landmark of the city and then continue to explore super market, then drive towards the highest view point of Islamabad (PirSohawa/Daman e Koh), after dinner in Margalla hills, check in hotel

Day 2

Today we will go to Peshawar, in the coming 2 days we will visit the KanishkaStupa, Gorkhatri, Peshawar Museum, Islamia College, Qissa Khawani Bazaar (the Story Tellers Bazaar) and BalaHisar Fort. The Peshawar Museum was founded in 1907 in memory of Queen Victoria. The building features an amalgamation of British, South Asian, Hindu, Buddhist and Mughal Islamic architectural styles. The museum's collection has almost 14,000 items, and is well known for its collection of Greco-Buddhist art. The museum's ancient collection features pieces from the Gandharan, Kushan, Parthian, and Indo-Scythian periods.

Day 3

From Peshawar we will drive to Swat to explore the various ancient Buddhist sites that are spread throughout the area. Amongst others we will visit Takht-i-Bahi and Sahr-i-Bahlol; overnight in Saidu Sharif. Takht-i-Bhai is a Parthian archaeological site, after first having been a Zoroastrian complex it was later converted into a Buddhist monastic complex. It is dated to the 1st century BCE and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. Sahr-i-Bahlol (Seri Bahlol) is also listed as an UNESCO World Heritage site and can be found not far from Takht-i-Bahi. It is said to contain the remains of Buddha, but the area has not been properly excavated.

Day 4

Drive from Swat to Chitral, travel through the Lowari Tunnel which is about 10.4 kms long that connects Dir and Chitral. In the past before the construction of the tunnel the passengers travelled via Lowari Pass. We will reach Ayun. Ayun is the closest villages to Kalasha Tribes and also a beautiful valley to experience and explore the place, has beautiful biological gardens and its location offers a bird eye view of the valley and river, continue drive to Kalash. Day 5

Full day sightseeing/exploring Kalash valley, Bumburet Valley and will explore the surrounding areas. Visit local people of Kalash they will have the opportunity to learn their culture and rituals. On this day we will start exploring the Rumbur Valley, visit the local museum. The Kalash Graveyard and the Town Centre, dance, do photography and interact with the Kalasha Tribe and experience this unique culture firsthand. The nights will continue with bonfire and dances. Day 6

Drive from Kalash to Chitral Town, visit Chitral Fort the capital of ancient kingdom of Chitral. The region was ruled from this fort, visit Shahi Mosque of Chitral which is in the premises of the fort, then travel to Birmoglasht which is on the mountain top. It offers a bird eye view of the valley as well as we might have a sighting of Markhor that are indigenous to this region. We will have lunch at Birmoglasht. If there is an ongoing polo match in Chitral Town we will visit the polo ground and experience the thrilling polo event. Later we will explore Chitral Bazar.   Overnight: Tourist class hotel

Day 7

Drive from Chitral Town to Mastuj. Mastuj is main village of Yarkhud Valley that borders Gilgit-Baltistan on one side and Afghanistan on the other. We will travel passing many villages of Chitral along the river gorge. Once we arrive in Mastuj we will take a walk around the village, meet and greet local village and community. We will stay in Mastuj for the following night.  Overnight: Tourist class hotel

Day 8

Drive from Chitral to Gupis which is also known as Khalti. Khalti is part of Ghizer District of Gilgit – Baltistan Region, travel via Shandur Pass and drive through many villages of Laspur. We will make a short stop in Shandur where we will experience the high alpine Shandur Lake and the Shandur Polo Ground which is the highest polo ground on the planet. We will pass through high land pastures and meadows of Barsit, Langar and Teru. Phandervalley  commonlycalled as  “Little Kashmir”. also its  most fascinated tourist spots in the entire region, as well as  famously known as the breadbasket for the whole Northern Areas. Over night in Hotel Phandar valley to Gilgit - Hunza Upon arrival at Khalti, explore the nearby villages and take some good photographs on the Khalti Lake which freezes in winters. Continue drive from Khalti to Gilgit. Gilgit is the capital city of Gilgit-Baltistan Region. Upon arrival we will check in to hotel and have some rest. After rest go to visit Kargah Nala and the famous Buddha Carvin ater we will go to explore the Gilgit Bazaar and will taste the “Mantu” (Dumplings). We will relax and stay at Gilgit for the night before we start the journey to the “ Land of Legends” – Hunza. Overnight: Tourist class hotel

Day 9

Gilgit is the capital city of Gilgit-Baltistan Region, visit Kargah Nala and the famous Buddha Carving. Later we will go to explore the Gilgit Bazaar .Drive from Gilgit to Hunza. Hunza is a full package that offers beautiful scenery, glaciers, high rising mountains, lakes, culture, heritage, an international border and the 8th wonder of the world that is called the Karakoram Highway. As we start our journey on the Karakoram Highway, we will see the old silk route used for trade which was made centuries ago, stop at Rakaposhi View Point an enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and feel the breeze coming from the Mother of Mist, travel ahead towards Hunza have a view of magnificent peaks from the window seat and as we arrive in Karimabad. The view of Rakaposhi will stun every nature lover as this ultra-visible peak will glance over your head, visit Altit Fort (900 years old - Altit Fort is an ancient fort at Altit town in the Hunza valley in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. It was originally home to the hereditary rulers of the Hunza state who carried the title Mir, although they moved to the somewhat younger Baltit fort nearby three centuries later. Altit Fort and in particular the Shikari tower is around 1100 years old, which makes it the oldest monument in the Gilgit–Baltistan. The fort has received the UNESCO Asia Pacific Heritage Award for Cultural Heritage Conservation in 2011) also explore Karimabad Market and visit the famous Eagle’s Nest View Point to experience the sunset over the mighty peaks.Overnight: Tourist class hotel

Day 10

Morning Baltit Fort and Baltit village and explore Hunza Valley, Visit Baltit Fort (700 years old - Baltit Fort is a fort in the Hunza valley, near the town of Karimabad, in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of northern Pakistan. Founded in the 8th CE, it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative list since 2004. In the past, the survival of the feudal regime of Hunza was ensured by the impressive fort, which overlooks Karimabad. The foundations of the fort date back to 700 years ago, with rebuilds and alterations over the centuries. In the 16th century the local prince married a princess from Baltistan who brought master Balti craftsmen to renovate the building as part of her dowry), afternoon drive to Hooper valley and glacier (half day excursion), evening back to hotel.

DaY 11

After early breakfast drive towards khunjrab pass via the suddend lake of naturewhich known as attaabad.This is  5 to 6 hours excursion will start early morning and will go to the Khunjerab Pass (4733m), the highest border crossing in the world. During the whole trip we will enjoy the fascinating and spectacular landscapes and also visit to Borit lake, Passu and Gulkin glaciers snouts. We will have chances to see wildlife in the Karakoram National ParK. After the excursion at china border back to Passo over night in 

Day 12

Drive from Hunza to Gulmit via Attabad Lake, Gulmit also known as Gul-e-Gulmit, is a town that serves as headquarter of the Gojal, also known as Upper Hunza, in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. Gulmit is a centuries-old historic town, with mountains, peaks and glaciers. It is a tourist spot and has many historic places, hotels, shops and a museum. The day will be distinctly female in flavor, with visits to both a women-run carpet center—a great place for authentic souvenir shopping that directly supports local women—and a women-run cafe serving up all kinds of local Hunzai food, trekking up a dirt road to the mysterious ruins of Ondra Fort.

Day 13

Sightseeing in and around Skardu, we will visit a selection of the following places – depending on your interest and available time: Skardu Fort,  theKatpana Cold Desert, Shigar Village & Shigar fort.8th Century Kharphocho Fort lies on the eastern face of the Khardrong or Mindoq-Khar. The fort and old mosque probably dating back to the arrival of Islam in the 16th Century CE. The fort provides a panoramic view of Skardu town, the Skardu valley and the Indus River. Skardu.

Day 14

After breakfast 5-6  hour drive will take us to Khaplu-Hushe.Khaplo is the 2nd District of Baltistan region with populating of around 40000 house hold.We will have some majestic sightseeing and visit old 700year old fort and taking lunch etc. After the sightseeing we will continue road journey toward the last end village Hushe .It will take another 2-3 hours by road .After reach Hushe village enjoy incredible Masherbrum Mountains on the front. Hushe is gateway of some of the stunning mountains, like Masherbrum 7824m,K-6 7200M K-7,Laia Peak ,and gondogoro la. Overnight in .Tourist class hotel.

Day 15

After breakfast drive back to Khaplo-Skardu will take the same 4-5 hrs by drive ,lunch will be Khaplo or Saling fish form continue drive to Skardu.

Day 16

We pile into our fleet of jeeps and head to Deosai National Park – the second highest alpine plateau in the world (4200m) behind the Tibetan Plateau. We will be in Deosai during peak wildflower season, the likes of which are out of this world! While travelling enjoying the road journey we will have lunch at Sheosar Lake. After wrapping our road trip, we will then continue road journey till enter another district of GB at Astor valley. The valley is about 3300 meters (10800 feet) above sea level and is snow covered for 7-8 months of the year. You will find it full of huge pine, cedar, fir and juniper trees and beautiful small villages.  Overnight: Tourist class hotel

Day 17

Today we have long journey start early, bound for Raikot Bridge. After breakfast in the hotel, we'll continue 3-4 hours drive toward Raikot bridge along the Astor valley road to connect KKH. Once at Raikot bridge take and arrangement for fairy meadow, leaving the additional belongings here in hotels. The jeep drive will  take a one and half hours up one of the craziest roads in the world till Tattoo village, before starting our 3 hour trek to the beautiful Fairy Meadows.Meadows is a generally 3hr trek. From the way the sight of Nanga Parbat (8,126m) – the giant of Western Himalayas draws us closer with every step taken. After reaching 3hrs walk shift to comfortable hot on twin sharing. Overnight: Tourist class hotel.

Day 18

Today we visit the fifth and final base camp of our 8000m peak journey. The trail to Nanga Parbat's Base Camp at Byal Camp first passes through thick forest and then follows the Raikot Glacier to the Nanga Parbat viewpoint at 3,667m. There are stunning views of Nanga Parbat all along the trail. After spending some time at Base Camp we then return to Fairy Meadows, which due to it's low light pollution is also famous for clear nights that give stunning views the Milky Way of  Nanga Parbat. After dinner we will enjoy a bonfire and local music to celebrate our achievement of trekking to the base camps of five 8,000m peaks. Overnight: Tourist class hotel.

Day 19

After breakfast we trek back down to Tattoo Village, from where we'll take 4×4 jeeps back to Raikot Bridge and transfer to our private air-conditioned vehicle and make our 10-11 hrs road journey  towards Islamabad via Babusar pass 3850m or KKH en route to Islamabad if have late night while travelling than overnight in Besham or Kaghan Here we follow the times.Overnight: Tourist class hotel

Early morning transfer to Islamabad airport, fly to sweet home.

Recently, the government has launched a new visa portal and made the visa obtaining procedure easier for 175 countries where you can fill up an online application and submit it to get a tourist visa. Before you can even apply you need to get a letter of invitation (LOI) from ASIAN MOUNTAIN TOURS, basically we will accept responsibility for you. The process is pretty straight forward. What are the best trekking routes in Pakistan?
K2 Base Camp is one of the world’s great treks. It has breathtaking scenery unsurpassed anywhere else in the high mountains. K2 Base Camp & Concordia trek is a high altitude walk where you ascend and descend the Baltoro glacier.
How does K2 Base Camp trek compare with K2 &GondogoroLa?
Both treks follow the Baltoro glacier to K2 Base Camp. The difference between these itineraries is that the K2 & GondogoroLa trip crosses the high pass after Concordia. A less Mountaineering experience is helpful for a safe crossing. We send an experienced Guide  withthe  group, also there are already a rescue members from Hushe village, they will taking care for members & porters while ascending and descending. Whereas the K2 Base Camp & Concordia group will walk back down the Baltoro glacier with a local guide. Both groups will meet after their treks in Skardu and then travel back together to Islamabad.
How does Snow Lake compare with K2 Base Camp trek?
K2 Base Camp & Concordia is a more popular trek with a larger number of other groups. Whereas Snow Lake & Hispar La is more remote and has a far fewer number of other trekkers. The scenery is impressive on both of these treks. K2 Base Camp trek has higher mountains including views of four 8,000m summits. Snow Lake trek has views of Kanjut Sar (7,760m), Distaghil Sar (7,885 m) and Makrong Chhish (6,607m). There is the Latok group (Latok I: 7,145m, Latok II: 7,108 m, Latok III: 6,949m, Latok IV: 6,456m) and Baintha.
How  do i get the nearest  Airport for K2 region of Pakistan ?
There are several airports in Pakistan but for our treks and adventures in the Karakorum then most people will fly to Islamabad and then take an enjoyable and stunning flight to Skardu.
What is the minimum altitude during the trek?

All our potential guests must read and know the different elevations mentioned for each trekking day in each programs. This is a hard trek at a very high altitude, But do not worry yourself humans are gifted to become familiar to high elevations, the participants must acclimatize to our well-planned itinerary. The maximum elevations depending on your choice of trek are given below.

GondogoroLa Height/Elevation: 5,585 meter

K2 base camp height/Elevation: 5,130 meters

What is the trek distance and max altitude?

The total trek covers about 167 kilometers over the course of 12 days – with the highest max altitude on the trek GondogoroLa 5,584 meters

How fit do I need to be to complete the trek?
Trip participants need to be in good shape and capable of trekking over mixed terrain for long distances (maximum 5- 8 hours). On average our trekking days are 5 to 8  hours per day. We employ many local porters and mules to help us carry the supplies that will make the trek to K2 a comfortable and rewarding experience.
What will the food be like?

Breakfast:Typically includes an omelet/fried eggs, fried Pakistani bread (paratha) chai/ coffee, tea etc.

Lunch: Will include a mix of local bread, noodle soup, tinned fish, biscuits, crackers, cheese, and green tea / chai.

Dinner: mix of vegetables, rice, noodle dishes, daal, meat (mutton or chicken), and other tasty dishes served up by our experienced cook and crew.

What to wear for walking in Pakistan?
Please consider what you need to pack for your trekking trip in Pakistan. Travelling light is much less hassle, if you do not need it is best to leave behind. The weight limit for your personal bag to be carried by the porter varies from 20kg to 25kg depending on the trek. All bags will be weighed at the hotel in Skardu before departure for the trek. Please check our trekking equipment for your personal belonging to carry while trekking.
Is price fix within the package and how many members minimally you accept ?
We can negotiate all about your trips including price , generally the prices shown on our site are based on a minimum of 4 people. Please  feel free to call or email us to chat about your plans and ambition.
Do you organize ,mountaineering treks / tours for only the packages you have signified ,OR, Do you run private trips in Pakistan?

No we are more encourage for customize for climb, trips/treks. We are familiar to cater all mountains activity 8000m to below 5000m ,as well trekking and tours activity in the renown mountains valley of Pakistan. Our Designated packages are more trending mostly in Karakorum range. We also run private treks /Tours for groups of friends, charities, clubs, organizations and corporate. Should we tip our supporting staff, (guide ,kitchen staff, porters ,drivers etc?
Tipping is always a personal choice, but is greatly appreciated by your guides. Check your departure packet for details.
Can women travel alone?
Every year hundreds of women travel alone into the remote valleys of Pakistan. Many of them can be seen in the streets of Hunza, Gilgit and Baltistan. To take a safer holidays in Pakistan we advise you to wear modest dress which cover whole of their body. Secondly before starting a trek or tour with local guide in the wilderness, please report about your program to the nearest police station or to your embassy with the identity/contact of your local guide/company.
What modes of payment do you accept?
When the trips confirm than we receive the mentioned advance amounts of proposed trips or 30% of amount of customize trips, via the bank transfer, and rest of the other amount will collect from Islamabad in cash which we give out our account details once you register.
What is your refund policy?

Our refund policy is more realistic for the customer satisfaction.

If you cancel your participation 30 days before the trip we charge a 15% deduction, 15 days before the trip means a 35% deduction and no refunds are offered if you cancel your participation 7 days or less. These deductions do not include any bank transfer charges. Please have a check our terms & conditions.

What Currency Is Used In Pakistan?
Generally it is best to travel with US dollars or, Euro and British pounds and exchange from Islamabad. You will have better rates in Islamabad /Rawalpindi other than Skardu,Gilgit,Hunza.Major credit cards are accepted in the cities in larger hotels and shops and you can withdraw cash from ATMs. Outside the main cities it is best to carry local cash.
What vaccinations are recommended for Pakistan ?
Recommended vaccinations: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, Hepatitis A, Typhoid Fever and protection against Malaria. Vaccinations to be considered: Hepatitis B, Rabies, Cholera, Japanese Encephalitis (JE), Tuberculosis (TB) . There is a good network of hospitals, and we recommend comprehensive medical insurance for travelers.

Hotel nights in  Islamabad ,Skardu, Hunza ,Gilgit :3 -4 star

On your way to the starting point of the trek you will sleep in decent hotels in Islamabad and Skardu. Full board and based on a double room.

Camping :

During your trek you will stay in campsites along the trails. The porters will take care of all camping equipment. Comfortable members’ tent, Mattresses, Mess tent, Kitchen tent, store tent,    toilet tent, table, chairs & kitchen utensils are coming along on your way to the K2 Base Camp.
